The decade of the 1990s saw the addition of a contemporary jewelry set to the collection of the family, which included a tiara that could be worn as a necklace.

A historian of Norwegian royal jewelry named Trond Noren Isaksen recently wrote that the family purchased the parure as part of their compensation after numerous pieces of their jewelry were stolen from Garrard in London in February 1995. Isaksen noted that the theft of the jewelry occurred in February 1995.

Princess Martha Louise wore the tiara setting of the necklace from the parure as well as the second necklace option (formed by connecting the suite's braceletsand brooch) and the ringfor the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. In addition, she wore the ring from the parure.

Three years later, on June 8, 2013, still another Norwegian princess wore the amethysts to another Swedish royal wedding. This one was also a Swedish royal wedding.

For the wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill, Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a tiered gown of ice blue lace and pieces from the parure that she had commissioned especially for the occasion.

In addition, she donned the tiara that came with the set, along with the earringsand one of the bracelets in the set.
