All About the Black in Jewelry Coalition

According to information provided by the BIJC, the first round of the design process got underway on Monday after a panel of judges selected the winning entry on Sunday. The judges were responsible for selecting the winning entry.

It is open to any and all designers, regardless of their level of experience or competence, to take part in the competition and compete for the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind engagement ring based on the winning couple's story of how they met and fell in love.

The 1.44-carat fancy yellow diamond and the platinumthat will be provided by Platinum Guild International USAneed to be incorporated into each and every one of the submitted ideas in order for the competition to be considered successful.

The well-known jeweler Nungu Diamondshas generously contributed the diamond for the event. They are also expected to use accent stones that were supplied by Anza Gems and B&B Fine Gemstones, but they have the choice to do so and are not obligated to do so.

This is another option available to them. The date August 25 has been established as the cutoff day for entering entries into the competition.

In addition to working closely with the couple on the final product, the winning designer will receive membership in both Jewelers of America (JA) and the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC), as well as $5,000 in cash, educational scholarships for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and the GRS Training Center, and educational scholarships for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), according to the BIJC.
